The Role:

Our client is an innovative market leading organisation, with a turnover exceeding £40m who has established a strong foothold in the FMCG sector with an enviable portfolio of blue chip clients across the UK marketplace.

They are now looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced General Manager to manage the main operational plant in the North East of England. Reporting to the Chairman, the General Manager will have full profit centre and budget responsibility with direct accountability for customer fulfillment, leading an experienced management team, covering key functions such as Production, Warehouse, Quality, Commercial, Customer Service, Finance, and HR.

The Person:

The successful candidate is likely to have a strong background in manufacturing or logistics and be experienced in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques, with proven capability to lead and inspire teams.

An experienced Operations or General Manager; preferably with 5+ years within an FMCG type environment, and proven competence in multi-functional management including manufacture, distribution, engineering, procurement and planning.

Professional qualifications in Business or Operations Management at degree level or equivalent would be highly desirable.
