Gem Partnership are delighted to be working on a joint venture with a prestigious automotive client, based in Washington / Sunderland to support the launch of the new Nissan Juke model.

Main Purpose
To recruit highly motivated individuals to work as part of a multi-functional team to deliver exceptional production results.

Main Duties
Reporting directly to your production Team Leader, you will be responsible for processing parts that meet the required standard, within a set time frame that allows the business to meet the customers scheduling and sequencing requirements.

Key Duties

• Effective use of equipment tools and fixtures
• Producing assemblies and components in line with agreed S.O.P.s
• Embraces a continuous improvement philosophy
• Adhere to all quality standards
• Focus on getting it right first time
• Willing to suggest improvements and promote quality
• Understand KPI’s
• Highlights material shortages and has an understanding of Kanban and material flow
• Ensure a high level of housekeeping at all times
• Is flexible and supports change in the workplace
• Works co-operatively with colleagues
• Is receptive to change and can embrace new ways of working
• Can support overtime requests as required by the business needs

The Candidate
No formal qualifications are necessary; however, experience within an automotive or manufacturing background would be advantageous.
You will need to excel working in a fast paced, team orientated environment and be flexible to work shifts.

Option 1 – 2 shifts; Days / Lates - £9.42 p/h
Option 2 – 3 shifts; Days /Lates /Nights - £10.00 p.h
Weekday & Saturday Overtime, when required is mandatory (paid at 1.5 X normal rate)
