• Play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of the Finance target operating model (TOM), supporting the broader objectives of the business.
• Support the Group FD and CFO in driving a best-in-class annual Group financial reporting timetable, alongside the delivery of transformation-based initiatives and projects.
• Central leadership to Group auditing processes and external stakeholder oversight.
• Lead and mentor the existing central finance team through a period of sustained change via energetic and inspiring leadership, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Demonstrate a willingness to be ‘hands-on’ in the reporting cycle, whilst constantly looking to support the development of those within the team to enable tasks to be handed down.
• Experience of producing primary statements such as cash flow statements is key.
• Drive enhancements to the Management Accounts, ensuring information is timely and value-add.
• Optimise the use of system generated, automated reporting through understanding the needs of key stakeholders.

• Previous senior financial management experience with a mix of practice (ideally big 6) with either/or direct support to listed clients or time in industry which would provide this level of exposure.
• Candidates should have subsequent time in industry, financial or professional services preferred, but not essential. Ideally this experience will be aligned to a more technical / statutory accounting context where group entity annual reporting has been a central theme.
• Personal characteristics are crucial to success in this role, candidates should bring an energy and enthusiasm to driving transformation and evolving a best-in-class service to the wider business.

• Excellent rapport building and communication skills, and confidence in communicating and working effectively with multiple stakeholders across the group and externally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading organisation at an exciting time with genuine opportunities for career development and progression. Alongside their compelling salary and bonus, they also offer a very generous pension contribution, private medical and the ability to ‘buy and sell’ holidays.
