Our client based in Sedgefield are looking for Production Assistants to work on a busy production line. The production assistant is responsible for maintaining the efficiency and quality, packing product to the correct customer requirements and BRC quality standards. This position is a support role for several areas of manufacturing.

Duties

– Working in accordance with the company’s BRC Certification, Health & Safety policy and good manufacturing practice.

– Perform production duties such as packaging, taping, manual lifting, labelling operations and sorting.

– Ensure products are packed correctly in accordance to the packing specification for each order.

– Carry out and document quality inspections per SOP, accurately and on time.

– Report any defects or out of spec product, to the shift manager or quality coordinator.

– Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and signed.

– Carry out all machine clean downs as instructed on the SOP.

– Ensure removal of all good products from within the skeletal waste before re-starting machine during roll changes.

– Ensure all waste or defect product is segregated and placed in relevant containers, to enable appropriate removal.

– The correct PPE must be worn where stated and safe working practices adhered to.

– Always maintain a clean, organized and safe environment.

– Take an active part in any training and development programmes.

Additional Information

Location: Sedgefield

Hours of work:

12hr shift rotation of 3 Shifts on, 3 Shifts off

Days – 7am – 7pm

Nights –7pm – 7am

Rates of pay:

£11.44 per hour
