The Role:
Our client is a prominent organisation in the residential property space, who are looking for an experienced individual to support the strategic development of their evolving concierge network estate. To ensure it is well invested and maintained, to ensure a fit-for-purpose technology environment and provide maximum systems availability to a 24×7 business.
• Contribute to the definition, maintenance and delivery of the architecture roadmap for all concierge services.
• Manage the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of all core concierge services. This will include, but may not be limited to:
o Network Switches
o Endpoint Handsets
o Intercom Interfaces
o Concierge desktop hardware and associated software
• Liaise with the group’s Transformation and Technology department and Electrical section and escalate any issues as necessary.
• Ensure all concierge system changes are appropriately tested and documented following agreed procedures; change requests are signed off before the changes are implemented. For major changes and upgrades, develop and implement formal testing plans.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders in order to understand how technology can be an enabler for the business whilst retaining adherence to the department’s strategic vision and support the evaluation of new products and services.
• Responsible for inventory management of hardware and software, patch management and systems security (backup) and maintenance and execution of recovery plans.
• Work collaboratively across the business to continually assess and improve user and project support procedures.
The Person:
• Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and engagement skills.
• Basic networking skills with a working knowledge of IP-based CCTV, access control and security systems.
• Working knowledge of a number of technologies deployed in an an “on premise infrastructure”, including:
o IP networks and VOIP,
o wireless point-to-point WAN technologies,
o Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
o Use of both analogue and IP CCTV systems,
o Analogue and IP access control systems (e.g. Winpak)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of H&S to ensure that you and others are working within a safe environment.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience of working with a Zenitel Intercom platform, Winpak access control or similar and/or a technical background in electrical work or working with electronics would be highly beneficial.
