Celebration of Success – Ella Hancock

Everyone at GEM Partnership loves to celebrate the success achieved by our learners, given the hard work and commitment it takes to complete their learning.

Following on from our recent celebration of success (https://www.gempartnership.com/celebration-of-success-husqvarna/) we’re delighted to be able to offer our congratulations to Ella Hancock on the completion of her Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer apprenticeship.

We spoke to Ella about her experience:

I chose to do an apprenticeship to further my knowledge and skills in my recruitment role. An apprenticeship gave me the opportunity to learn and get a qualification while I was doing my job. It allowed me to build my confidence and develop professionally as well as helping me progress my career.

I would recommend doing an apprenticeship as it is a chance to get experience in your chosen career while working towards a qualification. I was able to apply the knowledge and skills I was learning through my qualification to my day-to-day responsibilities, giving me a better understanding of my job role and the processes and regulations behind it. Apprenticeships help you to step out of your comfort zone, develop your skills and help you get your foot in the door in your career.

Working with GEM Partnership has been a positive experience from the very beginning. I felt really supported throughout my apprenticeship and everyone was offering guidance, encouragement and giving me practical advice whenever I needed it. Their support helped me to feel more confident and helped me succeed in my qualification and my job role.

We also spoke to Ella’s line manager Rob Mayman;

The training that Ella has recently completed has been incredibly valuable in progressing in her role. Her knowledge/training in general recruitment compliance has been of huge value to the team here at Husqvarna from making sure of all our associates have the correct RTW along with all the other compliance required before starting their assignments . This coupled with day-to-day activity around helping with the general office queries that come with on-site recruiting has really helped her confidence too.

The benefits are massive in terms of Ella’s role as an on-site recruiter as the day to day activity that being on-the-job you get to deal with problems or queries in the moment and having that style of learning is perfect to help her progression as the role can be very challenging with it being a candidate and client facing role. In particular Ella has learnt how to complete a very complex and large payroll function and having learnt this whilst on-the-job is testament to the apprenticeship programme and how Ella has dealt with a variety of different situations.
