GEM Partnership Spotlight – April 2024
April sees us release the second post in our rebranded monthly spotlight series and following on from last month when the spotlight was on our own Quality Manager, Tanya Marie English (https://www.gempartnership.com/gem-partnership-spotlight-march-2024/) we’re back in familiar territory as this month we’re casting the spotlight onto Alex Garwood, Membership Administrator with The Bannatyne Group.
Alex is currently working toward his Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship with GEM Partnership and was nominated for the spotlight by his trainer:
“I wish to nominate Alex as his enthusiasm is outstanding. He communicates with me regularly and has shown great support skills with his peer who has just started her apprenticeship.
Alex has naturally progressed from a Level 2 into a Level 3 apprenticeship and it has not phased him. He is producing high quality evidence for his portfolio and is always going above and beyond expectations. I have also heard about the great work he is putting into his functional skills lessons and I’m really proud of the progression he is making.”
As ever, we spoke with Alex to get his take on his apprenticeship and GEM Partnership:
What led you to pursue an apprenticeship?
“I have always been eager to do an apprenticeship since it was an easy way of earning a wage and developing a wide range of skills and knowledge that will benefit me to develop further throughout my career. It also enables you to boost your confidence in various factors.”
What would your advice be to someone who is thinking about an apprenticeship?
“ If someone is looking to do an apprenticeship, I would advise that you do one which you think will suit you and seek advice off people who have done one previously to get a better understanding on what they have to offer.”
What has been your experience of working with GEM Partnership?
“My experience with GEM Partnership has been very positive as the staff are very positive, understanding and determined to help you out in order to achieve the best results. They never rush you and can be flexible if work can’t be completed on time. I would strongly recommend them!”
