GEM Partnership Spotlight – August 2025
In our last spotlight in June, Ryan Morgan, one of our trainers was nominated by his colleague Karen, which you can read here: https://www.gempartnership.com/gem-partnership-spotlight-june-2025/
For this month, one of GEM’s longest serving members of staff has been nominated… Rob Mayman one of our fantastic Account Managers within our recruitment team.
Rob was nominated by one of GEM’s directors, Maria Miller who said:
Rob has been an invaluable member of the GEM team for a long time and still continues to strive to develop and contribute to the business in new ways.
He is always the first to put his hand up when there is a new opportunity or when someone needs help.
We spoke to Rob about his nomination and his development and contribution to the business;
Having worked for GEM for coming up 16 years, I’ve had a multitude of different roles for GEM in a number of different clients which has made me into a very diverse account manager within the manufacturing sector. The challenges I’ve faced have been incredibly difficult whether that’s from the legislation changes in 2011 through to Covid in 2020 and have learnt a lot about myself in my personal journey and GEM have given me the support and knowledge along the way.
Account management I have found the most rewarding from all the roles I have had at GEM as it allows me to develop relationships with agency associates and stakeholders with our clients which in turn give our clients the best possible service in understanding their hiring needs.
Congratulations are also in order for Rob, as he has recently passed his Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA). We asked Rob his thoughts on how this will contribute toward his development;
Adding the role of training assessor to my career development has improved me greatly as an account manager. Being a trainer, it allows me to develop an associate from day 1, which builds the trust and confidence of a new associate which is underpinned with a manufacturing qualification and from a personal perspective I find it very humbling knowing I’ve help develop an associate to get ready for a new role within manufacturing and then seeing them flourish once they are in their new role because of the qualification received from myself.
