In the returning series, we have our first nominee put forward for the spotlight twice… Ryan Morgan one of our Manufacturing Trainers!
Ryan was nominated by his newly appointed colleague Karen who said:
Ryan has had me shadowing him during my first few weeks making my transition into my new role full of information and support.
He’s a credit to the company, thank you Ryan, you’re a star!
We spoke to Ryan about his nomination and his role in helping his colleagues and his time at GEM so far;
As a Manufacturing Trainer, I support new staff by sharing best practices, mentoring, and helping them understand our delivery expectations across apprenticeships, Skills Boot Camps, and adult learning. I ensure they are confident with our systems, resources, and quality standards, and I guide them in aligning training with employer needs—especially when delivering on-site. My goal is to help them deliver engaging, industry-relevant sessions while maintaining learner focus across all programmes.
My first year with GEM has been both rewarding and full of growth. I’ve had the opportunity to apply my industry experience in a meaningful way, and I’m proud to have completed my Six Sigma Green Belt qualification, which has strengthened the quality and continuous improvement elements of my delivery.
I’ve built strong relationships with both employers and colleagues, which has been key to supporting effective apprenticeships, Skills Boot Camps, and adult learning delivery. It’s been great to contribute to learner success while also becoming a trusted part of the team. I’m looking forward to building on this in the year ahead.
