GEM Partnership to take part in On Your Feet Britain!

On Thursday 27 April, a team of 13 GEM Partnership employees will be climbing Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire for On Your Feet Britain.

A national activity awareness day, On Your Feet Britain encourages 2 million desk-based workers in the UK to take part in a variety of fun and simple activities in order to sit less and move more at work.

Our team will be raising money for our chosen charity, Mental Health Matters, a national charity supporting 15,500 people every month with innovative, life changing mental health care. At GEM Partnership, we have invested heavily in training a team of mental health first aiders to offer mental health support and advice to our team and 1400 agency associates. In addition, these commitments are supported with our Better Health at Work Gold Status Award which recognises our dedication to employee wellbeing at work and delivering support in local community initiatives.

Ruth Jackson, Systems and Compliance Manager and a mental health first aider at GEM Partnership, said “Taking part in On Your Feet Britain is a great way to raise money for a fantastic charity whilst encouraging our team to embrace the challenge and get on their feet!

“Since starting our Better Health at Work journey in 2020, this has always been an initiative that we have promoted. We have also encouraged all our staff to be active and increase their steps whilst at work as part of our health and wellbeing strategy.

“This year, the team will be climbing the 320m Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire, a popular destination for walkers in the region. To continue our fund-raising efforts for Mental Health Matters, we have some other team events in the pipeline for 2023 including The Three Peaks, Tough Mudder challenge and other running events.”
