Job Description

We are currently working with a client based in Felling, Gateshead who are experiencing exciting growth, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the Fork Lift Driver will be responsible for the safe and accurate processing, storage, and movement of all stock in the warehouse racking and applicable floor locations. The Fork Lift Truck Driver will ensure that all health and safety training and procedures are adhered to at all times, demonstrating safe practices whenever completing daily requirements.

Duties
• Daily accurate processing and movement of stock from Put-Away into warehouse locations as per the Put-Away process.
• Safe storage of pallets into racking locations as per process and risk assessment.
• Consolidation of stock in the warehouse to maintain the flow of goods and materials.
• Proactive replenishment of all customer pick face locations.
• Complete both component and dispatch picking when required.
• Complete Inventory Control routines accurately, communicating issues with the Inventory Control team.
• Ensure all system transactions are completed accurately.
• Support with ad-hoc inventory control requests.
• Support the picking teams with picking requirements whenever necessary.
• Work closely with all departments within our internal supply chain process including Goods in, Despatch, Planning, Picking and Production in order to maintain system stock accuracy.
• Daily completion of forklift checks including pre-use checks and key control.
• Operate in safe manner, adhering to all health and safety legislation.
• Support with waste and recycling processes.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are adhered to throughout the warehouse, supporting with a clean as you go policy alongside work routines.

Required knowledge, skills or experience
• Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck licence and experience is not essential as full training will be provided on site.
• A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, building strong working relationships with other departments within the warehouse.
• Dedicated application to all tasks and challenges.
• Comfortable working within a process driven department.
• Comfortable using the handheld and associated software and applications.
• A keen eye for detail and ability to work accurately on a consistent daily basis.

Additional Information
Location: Felling, Gateshead
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm
Rates of pay: £13.32p/h
