Job Description
We are currently working with a client based in Houghton Le Spring who are experiencing exciting growth in their Food Manufacturing business. We have a number of roles available with immediate starts for Hygiene Operatives to pack large or small quantities in all types of packaging on different lines that have been requested by the customer. Duties
• Handling the sites waste streams, this includes collation of card and poly for bailing.
• Transfer of DMR (dry mixed recycling) into collation bins, organizing food waste
• Cleaning of waste bins with jet was
• Organization of the sites collections bins and ensure that they are at the correct collection point ready for collection
• Keeping the waste collection points clean and tidy to prevent any pest issue
• Emptying of the LEV extractions and cleaning of the areas
• Filling the compactor with waste that cannot be recycled
• Ensure that the compactor area is clean and free of debris
• Litter picking and sweeping of yard to ensure that the drains do not become blocked with leaves etc.
• Gritting the yard and car park with salt when required
• Assisting with general hygiene as required
Required knowledge, skills or experience
• Fork lift licence would be an advantage
Additional Information
• This is predominantly an outside role and involves manual lifting
Location: Houghton Le Spring
Hours of work:
• Days – Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm
• Lates – Monday to Friday 3pm – 11pm
Rates of pay:
• Days – £12.21ph
• Lates – £13.70ph
