Job Description

My client is a rapidly growing charitable organisation who are embarking on business-wide expansion programme. Recognised as an employer that puts people at the heart of their journey, an opportunity exists to join this UK-wide business as their Internal Communications Manager.

Duties

• Shape and deliver the internal communications strategy
• Inform and engage colleagues, creating ‘buy in’ to the business, its core purpose and values
• Sourcing, planning, editing and writing a range of high-quality content for a variety of internal communications platforms

Required knowledge, skills or experience

• A proven track record as an Internal Communications Specialist
• A natural collaborator who can engage well across all departments at all stakeholder levels, is comfortable working with Executive teams and can ‘manage up’ and drive decisions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including writing, editing and proofreading skills), using concise English.
• Both a ‘thinker and a doer’ – someone who can create and execute strategy
• Comfortable working autonomously as this will be a stand-alone position; however the role is part of a broader communications team, so there will be support from other colleagues
• Creative with demonstrable content and copywriting skills and also able to collaborate with other creative staff, such as a Videographer
• Proven experience of organising events, both virtual and face-to-face (small and large events)
• Capable of managing intranet and internal newsletters – experience of using lots of different channels
• Able to manage multiple priorities at once
