Job Description

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of GEM Partnership who are currently trading as a recruitment and training agency. Our client based in Peterlee is looking to recruit a number of Press Brake Operatives to join their growing team. The role of the Press Operator is to interpret CAD drawings/specifications and customer information, input information accurately into the Pressbrake.

Understanding and completing paperwork accurately alongside palletising units in a way to assist the next stage of production is a key measure when assessing the effectiveness of the press operator.

Duties:

On acceptance of a job to the machine, ensure previous stage checks are complete.
Read, and understand CAD drawings/specifications and customer information
Interpret drawings to be able to correctly input CNC programmes
Accurately input CNC programmes and set up tooling as instructed on the drawings to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
Maintain and inspect all tooling.
Operate the Press
Check and inspect the folded component to the CAD drawing specifications
Ensure parts are clearly referenced and burrs are removed.
Ensure stock use is accurately recorded where applicable.
Accurately and legibly complete all necessary paperwork.
All items produced must be done so with the next stage in mind to ensure process efficiency
Pass all completed products to the next stage of manufacturing or store in designated area as per Company Health and Safety standards
Always keep the machine and work area tidy.
Carry out maintenance checks as per company procedures.
Follow all Company rules and policies.
Support fellow colleagues to maximise productivity/efficiency and maintain the factory environment.
Complete tasks as directed by Team Leaders / Factory Foreman or Management

Pay Rates
£14 – £16 depending on experience
