We are currently working with a new client based in North Shields who are experiencing exciting growth in their busy Manufacturing business, we have a number of roles available for process workers to join their team immediately on a temp to perm basis working within a heavy, industrial manufacturing plant. Duties
• Carrying out safety & quality checks
• Using a computer-based production reporting system
• Working to targets and SOP’s
• Using performance measures and 5S
• Practical problem solving to help reduce waste/downtime
• Manual Dexterity and operating process machinery is key in the role

Required knowledge, skills or experience
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Fork truck experience is desirable but not essential however all candidates should be prepared to complete an FLT training course if required
• A good level of literacy & numeracy, GCSE passes in English and Mathematics as a minimum
Willingness to learn and adapt through flexibility and job rotation
• Overall positive attitude
• Leadership potential – we are also looking for the Team Leaders and Production Managers of the future and have a strong record of internal promotion

Additional Information

Location: North Shields

Hours of work: 3-shift rotating working pattern, 07:00 – 15:00, 15:00 – 23:00, 23:00 –07:00.
A 4-shift 24/7 shift operation is also worked in some parts of the factory

Rates of pay: £15.03p/h
