We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Day Shift Warehouse Shift Manager at their industry leading logistics centre in Gateshead. This is a great opportunity for people in the local areas to join a company that is looking to invest their time into people’s long-term careers.
The Warehouse Shift Manager is a pivotal position, responsible for managing all logistics activities and resources on shift. You will be expected to lead by example, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive operational performance while supporting a positive and inclusive culture.
Duties:
People Management
· Lead, support, and motivate a team of Team Leaders and Operatives, ensuring they work safely and efficiently.
· Actively promote inclusion, respect, and well-being among all staff.
· Handle team management duties such as resource planning, holiday approval, absence management, and performance conversations.
You will have:
· Proven experience in warehousing supervision and display a people led approach to continuous improvement.
· Confident communicator and people leader with the ability to influence, coach, and support others.
· High attention to quality, strong organisation, and a value driven approach to all aspects of the role.
· IT literacy (e.g. Excel, production systems) and the ability to maintain and analyse reports.

Monday to Friday 0600 – 1400
