My experience with Gem throughout my apprenticeship has been excellent. I always felt supported, encouraged and guided at every stage. The communication was clear, the expectations were well explained, and I genuinely felt that my development mattered to the team. The support I received made a huge difference to my confidence and helped me achieve the best possible outcome.
I’m extremely grateful for the patience, guidance and consistency shown by everyone at Gem. Completing this apprenticeship has been a really positive experience for me, and I would absolutely recommend Gem to anyone looking to grow professionally.
Ahead of my EPA I thought it would be an appropriate time to discuss my course over all but more specifically my trainer.
After my previous trainers departure from GEM, I was feeling some uncertainty as it was a crucial stage in my apprenticeship (about to start my project). However, after my first session with Brett my mind was put at ease with his outstanding dedication and ability to pick up from where trainer left off. Since then, Brett has worked tirelessly to make me feel at ease, organised and prepared whilst designing my project and preparing for my EPA. I understand this is Brett's first time delivering the business admin course, which came as a shock since his knowledge and guidance has been impeccable.
As a learner, I tend to overthink and get myself into a rutt from time to time. However, Brett has been amazing at keeping my couse flowing and organised to deter me from over stressing. He is always contactable and is always polite and professional.
Overall, I have enjoyed my business admin course 🙂
I felt it was important to share my feedback for future learners and for acknowledgement of GEM employees.
Having successfully completed my apprenticeship, I can now reflect on the experience and found it highly engaging to learn about the organization I work for. Breaking the material into sections made the learning process more manageable, and I particularly appreciated gaining a solid understanding of the fundamental principles of business operations.
Completing the apprenticeship alongside my working role significantly boosted my confidence and enhanced my understanding of various tasks, enabling me to perform them more effectively as a result.
The guidance I would offer to others is to always ask questions and never hesitate to seek clarification. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, as they are a valuable part of the learning process, and you will receive the support needed to grow and improve.

Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisor Apprenticeship
I had an amazing journey through my learning with GEM training. It gave me the opportunity to develop my skills but also the time to reflect on many things. I really appreciate all the hard work Kayleigh Johnson did for me as she is amazing in what she is doing and I always got her support in everything I was doing. Thanks to her and Luke I finished my course with a distinction and I very much appreciate that. I think more tutors should be like them as I don't imagine finishing this with anyone else. Thank you so much for this amazing experience.

Level 3 Team Leading / Supervisor Apprenticeship
When my employer originally asked me about studying the course I was sceptical, as I believed that I already possessed a lot of the skills and knowledge that would be needed in my role. However, I’m glad that I went with it. There was so much more to learn about the subject and through extensive coaching from the team at GEM Training I was able to discover a new love of learning and new skills that I’ve been able to utilise throughout my time on the course and after. I’m looking forward to where my skillset leads me to next.
My experience with GEM Training has been excellent. They have fantastic staff that have helped me across the whole of my apprenticeship. Getting me a Pass in both my Math and English and helping me achieve an Overall Distinction in my EPA. I cannot fault them with the help they have given me getting me through my Apprenticeship and helping me to get started into the supply chain industry.

Recruitment Resourcer - NHS Business Unit
Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship
I have recently completed an apprenticeship for Recruitment Resourcer Level 2 where I gained a Distinction. I have gained a lot of knowledge and skills and my confidence has grown massively over the last 12 months. I am still speechless and so overjoyed that I passed with a Distinction. I still can’t believe it. When I first started my apprenticeship, I wasn’t even sure I would be able to complete it with a pass let alone a distinction. It proves that you get back what you put into your work and I truly believe I tried my best throughout my apprenticeship and had the best guidance from my trainer, who fully supported me over the past 12 months to get to where I am today.
Sam’s Manager, Michael Dunn said “I’m so proud of Sam, she has worked hard over the last year and was also working against the clock as she was due to go on maternity leave, so to complete her apprenticeship and to get a Distinction has been quite an accomplishment. Well done Sam”.
After 18 months being on the Business Administrator programme, I have gained not only a wide knowledge around different aspects of business administration and how it works. This apprenticeship improved my communication skills, showed me better problem-solving methods, strategic thinking or understanding of emotional intelligence within the workplace. I have benefited from it on both professional and personal levels.
GEM Training has been nothing but positive and supportive with any little struggle I have come across throughout the programme. My tutor Kayleigh, whose positive energy, brilliant knowledge, and constant motivation made me want to try and do better with every coming step and challenge and showed me that there is nothing I cannot achieve.
