A Day in the Life

As part of their continuous professional development, our training team have spent a ‘day in the life’ on site at our partner Husqvarna.

Spending day in both the Assembly and Injection Moulding department, the trainers were shown the ropes across a variety of different job roles and positions and got to participate in activities that they provide the training readiness for.

Feedback from the team has been excellent and we’d like to extend our thank you to Husqvarna for facilitating the sessions.

Employee Appreciation Day

Friday, 1st March 2024 marks Employee Appreciation Day!

Generally observed on the first Friday of March, the day is meant for employers to give thanks or recognition to their employees. It was created by Dr. Bob Nelson (a founding member of the Recognition Professionals International), initially to celebrate the publication of his book (1,001 ways to reward employees) and to remind employers to thank their employees when they do good work.

To mark the day, GEM have held a ‘dress down’ day and began our first fundraising venture for our charity partner The Hub of Wishes.

For this we’ve set up a GoFundMe page to support our fundraising throughout the year: https://www.gofundme.com/f/gem-partnerships-charity-partner-2024.
